Participating in History Day at Sacred Heart University:
On Saturday April 6th 2019, I have the honor of participating as a judge for National History Day. It was a pleasure to see various students from different schools working on individual projects or collaboratively in group projects. I was assigned to view senior group documentaries. it was an Illuminating and eye-opening experience to see the dedication, time, and effort these students put into their work. From viewing various topics such as a documentary about the crisis in Venezuela and a documentary about the 1944 Hartford circus fire, it is safe to say that I learned a lot from these young adults and we’ll definitely try and participate again next year! Video of Ludlowe NEASC visit:
During my student teaching experience, I have executed various activities for students to grapple with new concepts and ideas. One of which was a stations activity associated with six strategies that were used during the Cold War. In this video, the viewer will be able to see a snippet of that lesson! Enjoy!
